Apologies up front if this is already addressed, but I've spent some time searching and can find nothing. I bought a house with 7 Delta II fans, all in perfect working condition, like the day they were built, probably in the late 1980s. They all have the same wall switch model (see pic). At least one wall switch is going bad as it creates circuit problems on the two highest settings. What are my options for control switches? Can I go with a variable speed slider, or am I limited? Incandescent bulbs are no longer sold, so i have to install LEDs when these go out - can I control those on a dimmer slider? Thanks in advance. So Many Delta IIs

Can you explain what problem it creates?

On the two higher settings, the fan switch creates an abnormal power draw on the circuit, like a brown-out. It dimmed my desk light and kicked my computer UPS into battery mode.

Wall control alone would not cause those problems. Is the low speed on that control the same as low speed on other fans? The circuit breaker might be going bad. If fan draws too much current, it would spin extremely slow when on low speed with the wall control.
