I just got back from Wildwood today, and I came home with a few interesting items. So anyway, thursday, I was walking down the boardwalk taking pics of some fans when I saw that one store had replaced their fans with litex crap. So, I walk behind the building and I see four 48'' dayton 'ring' industrials under some steps near a dumpster. They were painted over teal and rather rusty. I pull the fans out and lug them back to my hotel room. Then I took the blades off, flipped the motor upside down, and orange rusty water pours out through the screw holes. These fans were completely waterlogged. They were missing their downrods and canopies. I looked for them but I didn't find them. So far I've gotten two of them to work.

As you can see, in my Garage saga I'm dealing with the older version of this fan, basically the same model with a thicker motor housing and without the ring. I never really liked the ring models but they are good fans. I will post more about my experiences working on them in the Garage Saga.
