Hello, I have at home a Vintage Moss Tropical Breeze Ceiling Fans Model N-101 C, I actually have 3 of them. One of them stop running recently. I can hear the fan hum when I turn it on. The fan blades rotate with problem. I would like to replace the capacitor and would like to know where is the capacitor located. Do I need to dismount the fan to get to the capacitor? Thank you in advance for your help.

I have a fan hobby, like most of us on here. In other words, I am just your average fan collector.

It is likely in the lower canopy above the motor. I believe there is a pin preventing you from removing it while installed so you will likely have to remove the whole fan temporarily.
