I'm new to hugger fans and and I got a fan from marketplace that's a hugger. I look at tutorials on YouTube of how to install one and all the people I see have a mounting bracket on the fan and one on the ceiling however mine doesn't have any sort of mounting system on the fan at all. Im interested in knowing what that price is called so I can get one.

There are hundreds of different hugger models out there. Could you please attach a picture of what you have? It may bot be missing parts at all. Some fans have weird mounting systems.

Looks like you have an SMC fan I believe? Your fan will use a canopy mounting plate that will look similar to H-11 as attached below: I am unsure where to source these other than ebay, so I wish you the best of luck on finding a replacement!

What Brian said is correct. I have one of those exact mounting plates on one of my fans. I will try to remember to attach some pictures so you can get the exact dimensions that you need. If you don't need the hugger mount, it can also be converted to downrod easily.

So unfortunately the stupid thing wont let me upload the images... my photos even resized are way over normal size. I just don't have enough time to troubleshoot why this is happening. I can however, tell you that the mounting plate is 5 and a quarter inches wide and takes 3 screws in a triangular pattern. If you need me to clarify anything else let me know.
