What kind of AC unit do you have at your house?
Are there any old AC units either central or window units in your area that are older?
My house has an ICP system and it's about 8 years old.
I used to see the older central units in my area but I don't see many anymore.
I know some people collect old window AC units but I couldn't imagine doing that, since they take up so much space. I think they are neat to look at for the styling and how different the quality was back then but they're not something I'd want to own. It's kind of amazing to me that they had AC in the 40s and 50s since most people couldn't really afford it back then, even in the 60s I don't think many people had AC.

I have a Goodman Central Air unit from 2011z. Before I bought my house I had three portable units. Two were larger Frigidaire units they were junk in my opinion and one was a smaller Kenmore unit. It ran 24/7 in the summer for 5 summers and I left it there when I moved. Very pleased with it.

When our house was built new in 2001 (we built it new), we had two Trane Weathertron central units with heat pumps (one for upstairs, and one for downstairs and the basement) controlled by the old-school 1980s-style Trane thermostats with the clear slider at the top, and Emergency and Aux. lights. We added our sunroom in 2004, and had an HVAC guy install a Rheem central unit with a heat pump controlled by a very basic RobertShaw digital programmable thermostat. However, our upstairs unit had to be replaced in 2017 with a Payne central unit with a heat pump, controlled by a Payne digital programmable thermostat. We eventually plan on replacing all three units' thermostats with smart thermostats.
