Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, although I've had it almost two years (I like it), and I'm likely going to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. My mom just went from the Samsung Galaxy A10e to the galaxy 22. She loves it she was amazed with the camera. I was glad to get her a different phone her other one was reliable but the screen wasn’t the best of course it was a budget phone and the display was getting dark Yeah the A20 was kind of the "Budget Model", and the 22 is the entry-level "Higher-End" model. The "Higher-End" phones tend to have better build quality and features. For example, my first smartphone was an LG Ally (VS740) for Verizon, and it was slow, had a terrible display, NO front-facing camera, a terrible rear-facing camera, and NO storage. I only had it my Freshman year of high school (9th Grade), and then I upgraded to a better Android smartphone. I've never had an iPhone (other than someone giving me their old one that I used as a music player), and don't intend on switching to one anytime soon (although I'll miss the microSD card slot on my S20+ 5G when I get the S22 Ultra 5G... I DO have Amazon Prime Photos with unlimited storage, so I can just back everything up to there, so problem solved. ).

My 87 year old grandmom went from a flip phone and got the SE last year and she loves the thing I was amazed for never operating a smartphone to me showing her the basics and her figuring it out in a few days I’m impressed with the value and quality of it. I bought a pair of wireless headphones for $28 off Amazon a great buy! My late grandmothers were completely different... one (my mom's mom) didn't know how to use a computer or cell phone (despite me trying to teach her), but when I couldn't deactivate my old prepaid T-Mobile Samsung flip phone, I gave it to her, and she learned how to dial and answer calls on it. My other grandmother (my dad's mom) knew how to use a computer and cell phone, and her last phone was some sort of Android smartphone (I believe a Samsung Galaxy S4). She didn't know everything about how to use it, but could do basic stuff. My dad's dad (my grandfather, who is still alive) is like my mom's mom, and doesn't know how to use a computer. He has a 4G LTE-capable flip phone now, and has always had a basic NON-smartphone. Even the NON-smartphones use an Android-like Operating System (OS) to allow access to the Internet for basic Web browsing, YouTube, certain social media and other apps, and even the Google Assistant. I believe his phone has those features, but he doesn't use his phone for anything other than making calls (I believe my aunt even turned off texting abilities so he wouldn't get confused). Of course, my great-aunt (my dad's dad's sister) and her husband (my great-uncle) are very tech-savvy and both have Samsung smartphones (I believe the Galaxy A50 or something similar). They use their phones for everything. I can most likely live without the home button. I just need the bigger phone they really made the screen bigger stretching it to the limit like with an android however I like having something physically bigger like I have. My mothers parents passed before I was born and my grandfather on my dads side never had a cell phone before he passed. My grandmother bought a computer back in the 90s and did well with it for what she needed one for (basic things). A few years back she got an Android based tablet to play her games on. She had an hp laptop prior but when she moved in to my aunts guest house we couldn’t get the wifi strong over there despite several woof extenders so we got her something that ran off the cell towers and she figured it out quickly then she got a new flip phone said she couldn’t hear it half the time and it felt cheap. I thought get her an android based phone since she knew the tablet my aunt said get her the iPhone that way she could show her whenever she had a problem. Figured it out in two days. I was amazed!

It was a decent phone and got the job done for over two years for my mom whose first cell phone it was. However thay phone for someone younger whose more into it it wasn’t the best. It’s amazing how most people pick a side to be on for there phones. Personally I prefer the iPhone I find it simpler where my wife hates it and will never get one. I never had used Amazon prime photos nor knew it existed lol. I set my mom up with google photos I’ve been happy with

We're going to have to get my mom a new phone with the new 5G changeover. My dad had gotten a new Motorola Android phone a few months ago ahead of the change, but my mom had not replaced hers. She hates cell phones and only uses it if she's not at home, so she will probably just be getting a basic flip phone with no internet or apps, unless she decides she wants a smartphone, which I doubt. Probably going with Tracfone for hers.

If I didn't need a smartphone for work (I need it for an app to log on to my work laptop when I work from home). I seriously would consider going a few months with a flip phone.

My first phone I ever had was an LG rebel 4, it used to be my dads but I received the phone in September 2019 and the reason is so I can play online games at places without internet using service, but that phone ran slow so in mid December 2019 I got a Samsung galaxy A10e and it ran much better but than May 2020 came and I got a Samsung galaxy A20 which had some better attributes than the A10e, but in October Or November 2020 the battery started to act funky on the A20, also the A10e became my dads when I got the A20, but back to topic, A20 started to have battery problems, I dealt with it and kept close eye, it was slow on games I played and sometimes will act funky, roblox was slow slow slow on it and laggy, but at least in December 2021 I got my current phone which is iPhone XR, it runs 50X better than my A20, and it has not a lot of lag to it either! I still have my A20 to this day too!
