Motorola One Vision. It was the cheapest smartphone Motorola had back in 2020 after my very loved Motorola Z2 Play decided to pack it in. I'm not too picky on phones as long as they run an Android OS and do what I need them to do, I run phones till they die anyways. Buying a new phone every 6 months is a waste IMO.

Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G, although I've had it almost two years (I like it), and I'm likely going to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

I have an iPhone SE 2 from 2020, and so far I really do like it overall. Prior to that I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 and that was a good phone, it lasted from 2013 all the way to late in 2020. It was getting slow though and a lot of apps didn't work with it. Finally it completely stopped turning on so I had to upgrade. LOL
Now before, I had AT&T and it was ok, but it was rather pricey at $80 each month. This time I went with Mint Mobile, and I've been very happy with it. I pay $35 a month, and have not really noticed any downsides to it than AT&T, in fact I actually get better reception in certain places where I had none with AT&T. The iPhone itself was even free, no up front costs, you just pay in the $35 each month for service for two years and then it's paid off. The only thing is less data each month is included, but I've never had any issues going over, but I am on wi-fi quite a bit.
One thing I recommend is getting a wireless charger. I think with my old phone it developed a crack from putting the cable in and out over time. With wireless charging you don't put any wear.
Only thing I don't like with the new iPhone is no headphone jack, you have to use an adapter to mini jack which is somewhat cumbersome. But I ended up getting wireless ear pods and they work great and hold charge for quite a while too.

I agree, I don't get why people get new phones all the time, it seems like my friends get a new one every time I see them. LOL

We've had Verizon for about 18 years. Now that we all have 5G phones, we are thinking of switching to Verizon's new 5G Plan to (hopefully) get a better rate. When I bought my Samsung Galaxy S20+, the 5G access was an extra fee every month (which I'm still paying), but now 5G is included on all Verizon plans. Maybe I'll wait until I get the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra until I do that.

That’s gonna be a transition for me. I love my 7 plus perfect size. I would’ve gotten the pro max cause it was so much bigger but was like $500 more that is NOT happening. I upgraded because my battery was starting to become a poor performer. I have no regrets with my 7 plus.

My mom just went from the Samsung Galaxy A10e to the galaxy 22. She loves it she was amazed with the camera. I was glad to get her a different phone her other one was reliable but the screen wasn’t the best of course it was a budget phone and the display was getting dark

My 87 year old grandmom went from a flip phone and got the SE last year and she loves the thing I was amazed for never operating a smartphone to me showing her the basics and her figuring it out in a few days I’m impressed with the value and quality of it. I bought a pair of wireless headphones for $28 off Amazon a great buy!

My wife’s on her parents plan both with Verizon if definitely was the best deal out there. She once in a while is like we should get our own plan but I’m like why I’ll pay them a year of payments every December and save money. We swapped to one of the 5G unlimited plans last summer and it ended up being a difference of I think $20 a month but then we enrolled in paperless and auto pay and saved $20 a month so it equaled out.

Unfortunately, other than the iPhone SE3 (or iPhone SE 2020), most phones won't have a home button. I'd get the SE3 if you want a home button. I almost did for my mom, but it only supports the lower-band 5G, and I wanted her to have a faster phone.

I bought a pair of wireless headphones for $28 off Amazon a great buy! My late grandmothers were completely different... one (my mom's mom) didn't know how to use a computer or cell phone (despite me trying to teach her), but when I couldn't deactivate my old prepaid T-Mobile Samsung flip phone, I gave it to her, and she learned how to dial and answer calls on it. My other grandmother (my dad's mom) knew how to use a computer and cell phone, and her last phone was some sort of Android smartphone (I believe a Samsung Galaxy S4). She didn't know everything about how to use it, but could do basic stuff. My dad's dad (my grandfather, who is still alive) is like my mom's mom, and doesn't know how to use a computer. He has a 4G LTE-capable flip phone now, and has always had a basic NON-smartphone. Even the NON-smartphones use an Android-like Operating System (OS) to allow access to the Internet for basic Web browsing, YouTube, certain social media and other apps, and even the Google Assistant. I believe his phone has those features, but he doesn't use his phone for anything other than making calls (I believe my aunt even turned off texting abilities so he wouldn't get confused). Of course, my great-aunt (my dad's dad's sister) and her husband (my great-uncle) are very tech-savvy and both have Samsung smartphones (I believe the Galaxy A50 or something similar). They use their phones for everything.
