Are there still any new fans you want?
I'm thinking about getting a brushed nickel Casablanca Holliston with the XLP Plus motor from eBay, but I haven't yet. I wished I had bought some of those Panama Control XLPs when they were like $120, but they disappeared. Also it looked like Amazon sold out of the Hunter Paramount XPs, I had my eye on those. I also wished I'd gotten some of those Panama XLP in the maiden bronze from Core Centric.
Now other than the Hollistons there aren't any XLP or K55 fans for sale new on eBay anymore. I don't think. Not for a good price anyway.
I don't really have any room for things right now, but when I finally buy a house I was hoping to have some good fans for it. I do have my brushed nickel Panama XLP, a white Delta II and if I get one of those Hollistons I should have a few. Also I've seen a few Panama IIs in brushed nickel I might want.
Also I haven't noticed any deals on new Originals in a while.

Also I haven't noticed any deals on new Originals in a while. I have all the fans I need at this point but if I had to pick a new fan I'd want, it'd either be a Hinkley Chisel (new for 2021; DC motor), a new DC Modern Fan Co. Industry or a matte silver Original. But those are all half a grand I won't spend for fans. Check OfferUp and Marketplace in your area, there's plenty of goodies to be found. Since last time I posted here I've got two Delta IIIs and a Ventura II from OfferUp and Marketplace. Plenty of other fan stuff that I haven't posted about has gone on too. Here's one of the Delta IIIs: Attachment DeletedAnd here's the Ventura II in the kitchen (and a group install with its matching Delta III companion in the family room): Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedI saw a used Holliston sitting on OfferUp the other day, I think it's still there. I know you're not as interested in used but you can get lucky for sure. Not much new XLP/K55 on eBay but they do have white K55XL Premiums. Outside of eBay there's plenty of these NOS K55XL Penbrookes on clearance too: www.goinglighting.com/Prd/740951/B-Emerson/?isf=1Ultimately I think you'll be ok with what you've got tho and if you need more fans down the line there's plenty of options even outside the K55/XLP bubble. Some of these DC fans been getting really good lately, so don't sleep on those

Post Post the hidden stuff lol.
There is a ton of stuff I'd love to have but room and money is the concern. I really hate having a ton of extra fans sitting around that aren't sentimental if I can't hang them. There are some fans I'd love to get that are childhood fans Emerson 1895 in AB, Moss Great American Oak, Casablanca Ventura II in AB 3-Speed (my most desired fan), and a bunch of others. One day I'd like to be able to build a shop and have a big display. The funny thing is now that so many designs are modern some cheaper new stuff I'm starting to like more like the 42" Harbor Breeze Centreville for example.
Love that Ventura!

I'm looking to get a Modern Fan Company "Altus Flush" 42" in silver. It's still an AC motor as I'm not sure I want a DC motor yet. I just love a nice slow fan speed! I'll need to cut the blades down to make a 26"-28" diameter rotation for my hallway. Going with the 3-wire fan/light control as I'm definitely not wanting the remote and extra electronics on board that will eventually fail in a few years. I have no fans with remotes or any IT and would like to keep it that way. I think I figured out a way to make a blade template and cut the blades shorter from the mounting end. Any cut edges will be hidden due to how the are mounted and I shouldn't need to re-paint the blades. I need to do some research as to whether I need to reduce the capacitor down a bit due to the shorter blades.
Take care!
Jim

I'll make a thread for it. I guess we're part of the minority that doesn't fancy hoarding fans, lol. Building a shop would be a cool idea, especially if you vlog the process like Cole. I don't think I'd build a shop specifically for fans but you bet I'd have good fans in the shop if I built one. Unpopular opinion: I love the new modern/loft/industrial stuff; can't get enough of the clean aesthetic of fans from Matthews Fan Co, Modern Forms, Star Fans, etc. Also there's still plenty good traditional stuff out there; Minka Aire Supra/Ultra Max are great, Gulf Coast stuff is still around, the new Premium/Crown Eco is dope (still 4/5 blade too), and the Hunter Original is back to being the ultimate fan as of 6 years ago. Glad you like the Ventura. They're pretty uncommon these days and I haven't seen one in AB but there's a PB IT model sitting on OfferUp for $50. I'll let you know if I find one

I do like some of the new modern fans too, I don't have experience with most of the higher end ones, but I like fans like the Fanimation Slinger, those styles. Star Fans are really nice too.
For my own house though I'd like traditional, or transitional. The Minka Aire Supra I really like.
The thing is now with this stupid high priced real estate market, I'm hesitant to make a move, as I don't know what to expect the economy to do. I've also considered building a house but right now isn't a great time to do that either with high material prices.
So I have to wait for any of this to take shape. I may end up just biting the bullet and paying more than I wanted, but if we are truly in a bubble, which it looks like we likely are, then that isn't a great idea.

For Hunter is the matte silver Original, Archive Original w/reproduction Adapt Air, Hotel Original, Havoc, and Mill Valley to be specific. For Casablanca, I'd like to have a Vita, AdvanTouch3 Panama II (because Kevin and Scott installed the Panama II on Ask This Old House in S11 E12), Holliston (since the new crossbar mounting bracket acts like the trim plate to stop the ribbed, stepped/tiered, and plain Hang-Tru for going past the exposed ceiling), Stealth XLP2000 in brushed nickel, and Star/Starlet. Emerson: Southtowne, Penbrooke K55XL, Premium Select Eco, Crown Select Eco, 60" Heat Fan Industrial DC, and Geode. Modern Fan Co: Industry DC (just to try it out), Ball, Altus, I'd like to have the GE stack motor Velo, but I'd like to try a DC Velo too. Gulf Coast: Dixie Belle, Raindance (childhood reasons), Tiara, Futura, Meridian, and Riviera II. Razzetti: Roma, Milano, and Capri. I like to have a Minka Aire Supra, 42" Sundance, and Wave. Hinkley: I'd love to have the Windward.

Also have you bought any fans on Offerup with shipping? I just wondered because like Facebook Marketplace the shipping prices are ridiculously cheap. Although, I heard that FB Marketplace and Offerup have some kind of deal where if they ship it through them the seller gets a discount on postage. It doesn't seem to be a scam though as far as I can tell.

It doesn't seem to be a scam though as far as I can tell. I think the fan has all parts with it including the control, but to be sure I'd recommend messaging the seller about it. FB marketplace is more dodgy than OfferUp with shipping prices since a lot of shipped listings are from people who don't know how to change things on their listings, but on OfferUp 99% of the time it's because someone deliberately chose to ship. FB and OfferUp might have the postage discount like eBay gives you when you sell (I sell on eBay). You really should grab that fan!

Alright, well I sent them a message but now I noticed it says "pickup in Charlestown" so maybe this is one of those cases where they didn't intend for the shipping option.

Well the seller didn't respond to me, so I'm going to assume it's already sold.

Well the seller didn't respond to me, so I'm going to assume it's already sold. Sucks when sellers are like that. Like, if you're gonna sell on OfferUp, at least learn how to post your listings properly. If you don't wanna ship, then list as pickup only. The only other Hollistons I see available are all on eBay and all in the ballpark of $300. I like Hollistons, but before I spent $300 for one I'd get one of those NOS Grand Prix's; they're more reliable, much better performers and though I don't think they look as nice, I don't mind a large, imposing look on 60" fans.

1. Relite Rapide MKII 1200mm 2. Crompton High Speed 900/1050/1200mm 3. A very fast 600rpm fan, but which is still 3-bladed and 900mm or more (eg: Polar Super Speed) 4. A very special BLDC fan I found out about on YouTube. What I love about this fan is that it looks so much like a normal one, even though it works with BLDC motor with a circuit board inside.
