I went to seaside heights NJ today, took a sh*tload of pics, and saw a few odd fans. The fan in the yahoo group that I named "union", is actually chadwick. I got a clearer pic of that oddball original knockoff, it has a flywheel and a K-55.
Well anyway, I went into an old arcade and I saw about a dozen of what looked like CEC/moss's with shoeprint vents, and I also saw three old 1955 emerson round noses. I spoke with the manager and he said he'd be taking them down soon. I'll upload pics sooner or later.

When he takes them down, GRAB THEM. DONT LET THEM GET AWAY.
I'm anxious to see the pics.

The fans I saw looked like this(whiteoldemersonplain1.jpg) but with a round nose and a levoilor (or whatever it was called) pull switch. Yes that's a 'Roundnose'. Cool fans. The Homestead Universal/Stratford design was modeled off either the Roundnose or the Longnose (the picture you referenced).

i would be interested in the older emerson fans if you are selling them... That is if I can even get them, and if I can get them to work. The guy I talked to last night told me that they all stopped working a few years ago (probably because of a lack of oil). I could possibly get them in a few weeks though, or whenever I go back to the shore.

Hey, read up, I got dibs! Remember, there are three fans in question here. There's a very good chance I could get all three of them, considering that they no longer work and are getting replaced anyway. So if I do get all three, both you and Adrian could possibly get one.

Not yet, but I'll probably get them soon though. Keep us posted. New Jersey for some reason seems to be the spot for vintage fans, I've been buying a number from there recently. I had no idea why, it certainly isnt the spot for anything else!
