Hi all. So we have an old Hampton Bay fan, best I can tell the model is 52-CL with motor UPC of 082392237561. We were painting the room, and went to take down the fan blades. In the process of removing the light kit, the dang fan direction switch broke apart. I don't see a way to fix that alone, so I need a replacement light kit/housing.
Is it worth even trying to find a light kit assembly for this fan, and where? I doubt a universal will work on this.
This is the fan.

Hello,
You can replace the fan direction switch if you feel confident, although Hampton Bay still makes the Carriage House II, so you can contact Home Depot for parts. Since the light kit contains the parts to control the fan, you'll need to order the complete light kit assembly.
