Hey does anyone heard of this fan? I talk to Chris by e-mail and I'm hoping to get a fan from him. I thinkthey are really nice fans I saw on Dan's fan city site and I post that on the yahoo group. What does everyone think?

I know I will. I've talked to him about a week ago that I was interested in sending me one of those fans. Plus I already have a color picked out and a light kit as well. Hey james do you have one of those fans? If you do What color and light kit you have?

Who's Chris? Unless you're getting a *really* good deal, I'd save your money for a Casablanca Zephyr or some other better-quality GE-vents fan.

He's Chris Held a.k.a newtonehunter he's the guy is in at the yahoo celing fan group. I've talked to him and he's nice guy. He specializes in Gulf Coast Ceiling fans. I told him I was interested in him sending me a Dixie Belle fan. They are nice fans by the way.

I know Chris Held from *years* ago, he is a cool guy . . . again, I dont recommend for the Dizie Belle unless you're getting a really good deal, it's just a standard fan and there are much cooler fans with GE vents.

I had a Dixie Belle, somewhat rarer model. It was a 38" 6-blade with a lasko flush mount style canopy. Its was good fan but its presence is unknown. I sold it about five years ago.

Now THAT sounds like a cool one. Did you keep any pictures of it? Yeah, I regret selling it. It was pretty much a homestead universal copy, hell, even the blade holders were almost identicle. But some stupid person hand painted each blade, both sides, in a ugly gray color (the fan was white), so I ended up spray bombing them in white.

Hey james do you have one of those fans? If you do What color and light kit you have? I'm also going to throw in my lot with Dan and recommend that unless you are getting an amazing deal on the Dixie Belle to hold out for something better. There are a lot of cool fans with GE vents, and if you REALLY like that design, maybe you should try and get an original GE fan.

I owned a Dixie Belle II for about two years (until I killed it becuase it was a crappy, spinner-motor fan that made a lot of noise).

I used to want one, but only because it had GE vents and tight-weave can. You're better off getting the original fan with GE vents and tight-weave cane, an SMC.
