I was interested in ceiling fans since I was about 4 years old, however to be honest just like Electro DIY I also got the inspiration on collecting ceiling fans and knowing about this website when I came across the video about the SMC fans at the Date Store (by Pankaat on Youtube).
As for Indian ceiling fans, I think they are my favourite, especially Crompton Greaves High Speed, Havells Velocity, Polar Super Speed, and various models of Bajaj, Orient, Usha, and Vision.
It is a great pity, that ceiling fans are losing their popularity in Malta
, and the only Indian fans I have ever seen in Malta are the 4 of 8 remaining Havells fans at the department store that has all those Relite Rapide MKII fans and a Vision fan in my primary school which has closed down. I don't even know who sold the Havells fans.
It is also a pity I do not have much space at home for many ceiling fans, but at least I have got 2 Relite Rapide MKII fans, which were one of my most known and I think most popular childhood fan. Moreover I am the only one at my house who is interested in ceiling fans, which I must say are the most convenient over all other fans.
So for the time being I have 2 almost identical Relite Rapide MKII fans: one installed and used in my room (1994 on capacitor), and the other one (date unknown) uninstalled and waiting to be installed either in the kitchen or in the study room.
