I see more and more of these type of neat urban exploration videos popping up on youtube where people explore abandoned buildings left sitting for decades.. I love to see how time stands still and things were left as they were 20 - 30 years ago as the decay process slowly takes place and nature reclaims.. Very apocalyptic.. This hotel has a bunch of blenderfans along with a bunch of old TVs, 60s 70s old shaggy carpeting... For something abandoned back in 2004, this place was even very outdated then.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgRdbKh7lgA

awesome hotel! i also like how the decay of this hotel is very different than how abandoned buildings and farm here decay.. Probably because of the humidity and the different temperatures between seasons found in a temperate climats.

In the middle east the atmosphere is most desert like and dry, Like the state of Arizona.. In more tropical places, Just the natural humidity, rain and wild growth causes decay much faster.. As soon as the roof starts leaking and water gets in, mold and wild plant life starts even inside... Growth touching and growing on wood and roofing on the exterior parts of buildings causes it to decay also much faster.. That's why here most people trim the trees when the limbs start touching the roof.. In the desert, the wind and sand and some rain is what causes things to decay and rust, But it's much slower...

here, as ive seen, what decays the most in buildings is the wall and ceiling plaster, with lots of heat and humidity happening, lots of cracks form on the plasters, in which if it reaches the steel structure it rusts, causes internal bulges and further cracks the plasters off, ive seen some abandoned houses with their ceiling plasters fallen off and the steel slab structure clearly visible and rusted.. wood is rarely used here for houses, except for doors and outdoor sheds in farms.. they dont decay unless eaten by termites
