Just like the Exhale Fan, it is very boring!
Can't tell if these have ever been discussed on this forum or that old forum that no longer exists, but these Airius Air Pears are the commercial/industrial ceiling fan of the future. A few weeks ago, I noticed a bunch of these at my local Meijer grocery store, but wasn't sure what they were. Meijer is known for sometimes having Daytons in certain areas of the store. This store was built in the late 90s, and had 4 Daytons over the dairy department. Today, I noticed that they disappeared with the store's latest renovation. Luckily, this store still has a Dayton in a room next to the produce, and several in the stockrooms. Of course there are now Air Pears right there, and over other grocery sections. Still not knowing what these things were, I all of a sudden was feeling air blowing down, looked up, and realized that they must be fans! I asked people in a fan collector's group chat that I'm part of if they were ceiling fans, and was told "No, they're Air Pear." After that same person showed an installation video and a comparison between this and a 56" 3-blade fan, I realize that these are technically ceiling fans, even if they function somewhat differently and have such a basic installation.

They're alright, but I don't see them replacing industrial ceiling fans entirely.
