Last weekend, we went up to our aunt and uncle's house for thanksgiving, and spotted this fan in their bedroom: Has anyone seen one of these before? where were they sold? Attachment Deleted |

Yes. Those were made by Holmes, and sold exclusively at Walmart. They also had the Lasko thermostat box fans with the GE name on them too.

ok cool! Do you know when they were sold?? Probably early 2000s from the looks of it. Walmart started selling the GE line around 2000 and stopped around 2011 or so. But the fans I think were more toward the beginning of that. Looking at it again, I think Holmes made a similar retro style fan with rings on the grilles and their own name on it too. |

that's interesting! The UL tag on the fan read 11/99 so I wasn't sure if these were sold in the 90s or not.

That sounds about right. I think it was around 2000 when Walmart started selling GE branded items.

Yes, I remember seeing this model at Walmart in 2004. It seems it was sold for a very short amount of time around that year. Very cool, I like them.

The UL tag reads 11/99, I guess 2000 could be a large possibility...
