House was built in 2002 and we bought it about a year ago. Its come to where a bulb has burnt out in the ceiling fan so I need to replace the bulbs but I've tried pushing up and turning, pulling down and turning, turning clockwise, counterclockwise and to no success of getting this dome off. From the look of the pully chains its an Encon fan but I can't seem to find it anywhere on google and dont see a model number sticker anywhere on it. I measured and if my measurement was accurate its a 48" with 5 blades and a stained/spotted glass dome. Its got a leaf pattern sorta going around where the dome connects to the fan and in each blade has a leaf that connects it to the rest of the fan (description is weird I know, Don't know names of parts) Any help would be appreciated. I just dont want to twist and twist and end up breaking something on the fan. Encon Ceiling Fan imgur.com/gallery/gvoX85F

Make sure you unscrew it counterclockwise.
