What kind of vintage hugger ceiling fans would fan collectors buy if it were to showed up at their local habitat restore?

I'm not big on huggers, but my first fan was a hugger which I still have. Although I might buy one with a K55 motor.
I also like some of the little 30" huggers for newer ones, especially one I forget the make of but it has a huge spinner motor for its size.

I don't have a problem with huggers. Being born in the early 90's Huggers were BIG in my area so alot of traditional 4 blade huggers are childhood fans for me.
I'm just not big on the really cheap ones for example the Littleton although I appreciate its somewhat better quality when it came out. I hate the new Hampton Bay ones they couldn't be any cheaper. Hunter I always respected the Low Profile line until they came out with the current version. I think they look ok even though the blade shape is funky but the motors in them are crap!

Late 80s generic Huggers tend to be decent performers for the price, (brand depending)

That's true. I've just always been more of a downrod fan person, but the earlier huggers esp with cane or stencil I do like. I've always liked the Low Profiles too, up through the 42" models with the oblong blades.
