Ok guys, I found this fella sitting in the trash last November and the color really catched my eye. I know it's a recent fan but still found it good and cool looking. The blades are light blue transparent, 16 inchs big. Altought, the fan doesnt run. The blades move freely when turned manually. There isnt any electrical 60 hz sound, so looks like there is no current at all going to the motor. I opened it, trying to find a fuse or something to replace. There is not thermal fuse apparent. I even took a look at the instruction manual on the internet. no help. any ideas? I would like to make it work again!

The thermal fuse is probably buried deep within the windings, inaccessible without doing major work to the motor.. If you have a multi-meter, you can determine relatively easily where the failure lies..

every research done told me the exact same thing. Sad I don't have this ability to repair electrical things (I am not going to do such work without any lessons about electricity first) Probably this fan will end up... In the trash. Can't keep it if it doesn't work!

There's plenty of videos on YouTube that show everything you need to know to perform the repair, but it's lengthy and involved (probably not worth-while for a cheaper modern fan)..
