It's interesting to see these catalogs from the Canadian Sears, since the catalog here in US had been discontinued after 1993. Some of these do kind of remind me of what Sears was selling here during then, since I had seen some of their fans in sales circulars during late 1990s and early 2000s. Although our Sears never had a fan display that I remember and while I think they did have them in the hardware section, I never often looked at them.

I remember when my local Sears had a ceiling fan display with the most recognizable SMC's from the late 90's and early 2000's. I remember watching how the ceiling fan display became smaller and smaller until the 2 SMC Windsors were the remaining fans. Other than the SMC Windsors, I saw the early 2000's SMC A52, the Stealth, the Laguna, and the multi color hugger.

Very cool! Thanks for posting. It's interesting to see catalogs from different provinces. It's rarely exactly the same as it was in Québec during the same years. For example the Scandinavian fan was always shown in brushed nickel here. 2000 or 2001 would have been the first year it was available. C and D and in the 2001 catalog are very uncommon models.
All the 4-speeds models are very cool. My favorite one is B in the 2001 catalog.
I didn't know the E model as still available in 2001.
My favorite model remains the Laguna.

Thanks for sharing!
I'm surprised by the amount of SMC fans for 2001. Then again I guess thats when they started to kind of fade back.
Definitely a neat thing to reminisce about with Sears Canada now gone and Sears (USA) probably liquidating tomorrow.

Woah, some of those were really expensive! I like the two spinners, the 5 blade and the other with top mount looks like an 80s style fan instead of early 2000s.

Awesome! This 2000 catalog is exactly how I remember the one in Québec of that year. It amazing to see the images again.
B, C, D and E are very uncommon models.
I knew Sears had a white and brass cane bladed model with three tulips lights in 132 cm around that time.
I imagine for R they used the wrong image as the vented spinner shown there is 107 cm in size instead of 90/36 and uses a schoolhouse light and a reverse switch unlike what is stated in the description. R would be the regular ventless Laguna with mushroom globe and three pull chains.

Most of fans in the 1980's were much better quality and didn't necessary included lights. These would be more associated with the mid to late 1990's.

Also, the picture they used for the Laguna in the 2000 catalogue looks pretty unusual with those vents.

I see it way too often in houses for sale. Retail price is like 180$ but is in sale for 90$ almost every month.

There was an actual model like this, wider, with schoolhouse light, vents and a reversing switch.

To be fair, the white Scandinavian in the 2001 catalogue is not too common. Also, I wonder how rare that vented Laguna is compared to the other uncommon Lagunas such as the early 90's brown version or the ones from pre-1985.
