That looks beautiful, Jordan! What a huge improvement as compared to the last light kit. Oh yeah, those screw-in plugs never match, by the way Thanks! It matched at one point because it came with one, but unfortunately it's been so long since I put that first light on there I misplaced it..

48" Montgomery Wards cast aluminium spinner.. 1 of 2 fans I got from an individual who is restoring a house that was built in the 1970s.. I was told the fans are original to the house..
As seen in the last picture, one of the blades has warped flat.. Anyone know of a good way to correct this?
That's all for now, because I had taken more pictures but they're not on the memory card.. Not sure what's going on with my camera.. I'll have to try again..

I'd try putting something on the blade and letting it sit to straighten it out... nice fans, yes, they're from the 1970s, so they'd be original to the house. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

That sure is a beauty! Also, it looks as if the brass on those blade badges is in decent condition. As for the blade, Vincent makes a solid point about placing something on top of it. Slightly dampening it beforehand could also help. yes, they're from the 1970s, so they'd be original to the house. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) They could certainly be from the early 80s...

48" Montgomery Wards cast-iron spinner, reversible The controller (which I've been told is original to the fan) appears to have had a Caribbean Breeze logo on it at some point..
This selection of photographs features a new lighting configuration I tried, apparently it's a bit too bright... Excuse the overexposure.

42" Encon Corinthian in polished brass. The light shade is extremely thick and heavy, it probably weighs as much as the fan motor itself..

52" generic hugger ceiling fan in antique brass from 1989. This has a rather unusual switch for the light, which appears to be original to the fan, as well as odd cane inserts that appear to have some sort of backing to them.. Pullchain fob is not original.. Got a pair of these at the Habitat, the other one came with a different globe so I don't know if this one is original..

Casablanca 4 Seasons 3, $15 at Habitat.. Reversible white/light oak blades.. Other than a few scratches on the irons it's nearly mint.. Moves an impressive amount of air, especially considering how slow it goes..

Very nice brown Evergo Montgomery Wards spinner. I would have said the same regarding the blade, putting something heavy, like a dictionary on it for a while.

I gave multiple attempts at repairing the warped blade on the Montgomery Wards, unfortunately none of them were successful.. I was perusing eBay the other day and found an auction for a set of replacement blades, they looked nice so I put in an offer they accepted.. Was quite happy to have a set of replacement blades on the way so I could finally use the fan..

Later that evening, the seller wrote to me and said they have the rest of the fan, and were planning to sell it later.. They asked if I would be interested in the rest of the pieces for another 30 and shipping.. I countered at 20 and they agreed.. So looks like we'll have another complete Montgomery Wards spinner coming now.. I haven't completely given up on that warped blade yet and would still like to get it fixed so I could do a dual-install with these some day, but at least for now I'll have 1 functional blade set..
