Since January, which happens every January for me for more than 5 years, is that the revenue drops, but then doesn't fully recover.. As of January this year is the first to where between 2 websites and youtube monetization doesn't make the $100 monthly threshold, and it looks like it's not going to recover.. So it's going to be a matter of time to where I'm going to pull Adsense completely from both site and youtube.. So now the question is, if I continue to keep the vintageceilingfans website going or do I shut it down? Domains run about $15-$20 yearly, and space somewhere around $175 yearly.. So it's over $200 yearly to keep things going as the way they are.. I do have a vintage electronics site that actually was making a hell alot more than the ceiling fan site, And still is making double the amount of this site.. I've updated this site and added 2 and 3 ads per page long ago, and still the outdated electronics site that has one ad per page I haven't touched in years is making double this site.. So the options I may look into is cutting back at first, seeing what I can get rid of or what stays.. I may try donation sites like Patreon etc.. Love to hear some input..

I still use the Galleries for reference occasionally. I wouldnt think you'd need much hosting for those, they are just pictures and text. You will still get the AdSense from the website, they just wont pay you every month.

The deal I have with godaddy is unlimited space with two or more website domains.. If I go to the package that's the next one down that doesn't offer unlimited space at half the price, I would have to lose one of the sites as it only offers hosting for one domain.. So I don't think I can change any plans.. Another option is to look into another service, but I'm pretty sure godaddy is the best out there.. I've had issues with the last ones through out the years before godaddy..

I think a donations option would be a good start, there's probably enough people around that would contribute so you could at least break even..
I sure would hate to see this site shut down.. At those prices I'd consider taking over if it were to reach that point..

Google sucks with the way they treat partners and AdSense users... everybody's getting demonitized and they're not saying why.

More recently, especially on YouTube, it seems like they're trying to get rid of as many users as possible, and for those that are left, the value of an ad is infinitely declining.. I wish there were some more alternatives to Adsense....
It's also worth noting with the increasing popularity of ad-blocking software, advertising on the Internet is a declining market.. And so while there is plenty to blame on Google, it also has to do with the fact that ads aren't showing up on very many people's computers anymore..

I don't know what the answer is, it would be sad to lose this place. I'll really be on board with whatever has to be done, seems like so far people would be willing to step up in any capacity necessary to at least keep it alive.

I am in agreement Jordan and Cole. Adam, regardless of circumstances now, its reasonable to say that the community here has faith and would be happy to pitch-in. There is simply too much valuable information to loose.

Well the solution is simple. Just disable your ad blockers. Two or three ads at the top or bottom will not hurt anyone.

I will turn off the ad block for websites I trust and care about, this one included..

Huh? it pops up but if you don't disable it, you see the website again, but a few seconds later it pops back up.. You can set it to disable on certain sites..

I do have it disabled for this site.. I just turned it back on and this is all I get.. As long as I'm okay with loosing that 1 inch off the bottom of the window, I can use the site and completely ignore it..
