I have recently moved into a home that has a Very nice Casablanca Panama5 Ceiling fan. This fan has the original inteli touch.
Currently when turning on the fan via Power button on three button wall switch, the light and fan turn on.
Fan starts out at low, beeps, then goes up etc to speed 6. If I toggle the fan button as the fan speeds up the fan will then stay at that level speed.
1. I currently cannot Dim the lights with the light toggle switch. Nothing happens (Light does not dim or shut off) 2. I cannot change the speed of the fan at this point. Toggling the Fan switch does nothing. 3. Pushing the Light and Fan does not reverse the fan.
4. Pushing the Power button off will then turn the fan and light off.
This fan has original 1984 parts including the wall switch.
The wall switch has just two black wires.
Any suggestions?
I did call Casablanca and they suggested taking the fan to a dealer that is about 90 minutes away. I live in St. Louis and this dealer is 60 Miles East of St. Louis.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the board or the control has gone bad... sending the control to a place such as FixMyCasablancaFan.com will tell if the control is bad, and only if you want it back do you pay them for the service. I'd take the fan to get looked at and have the board and control tested for faults. Casablanca has unfortunately discontinued parts to convert the fans to Intelli Touch 3 (the latest version of Intelli Touch), which is a plug-'n'-play upgrade, but some dealers might still have parts in stock, including FixMyCasablancaFan.com. If they don't, or you don't want to spend $150+ to convert the fan to Intelli Touch 3, I'd suggest converting the fan to single speed, wiring a remote control receiver in the fan housing (one won't fit in the fan's ceiling canopy), and using the remote control to control the fan and light. One of our Casablanca experts here on the forums, Cole, has an awesome step-by-step tutorial on his channel, Vintage Fans & More, telling you how to do this. Good luck on getting your fan up and running again! -Vince
