After just posting a thread about a large question of childhood fan memories I have, I thought about another one I can't seem to figure out. Here goes... My Aunt and Uncle had a Polished Brass fan over their kitchen table. It appeared probably around 1999 or so and was taken down around 2006. I'm not sure if it was bought new as my Uncle was an Electrician and got fans from projects that he would put in the house. It was replaced with a free IT Panama he got from a job he was doing in a wealthy community. The fan, was 6 blades had a light kit I believe 5 lights (no globe in the middle 5 actual lights). It was PB had this style blade arms i.ytimg.com/vi/VGDBRgviR4c/maxresdefault.jpg and had leafs on the motor hosuing instead of vents. It was like screen and then leaf things going up and down. I've never seen anything like it. Something triggers my memory as my Aunt saying he bought it at Walmart but in reality he could have gotten it anywhere. Heck I think he only has ever bought one fan for that house and I got it NIB at a yard sale for $10. I think everything else hes been given from side jobs which includes 2 Panama's that were IT and recently a Pull Chain panama he replaced a Stratford in his living room with.

From your description it sounds like it would be a pre-1993 Encon, likely sold by Payless Cashways.
