Does anyone know what the differences are between UL ratings for motors? What differentiates a Class A from a Class B rating?

It has to do with the temperature the windings insulation is able to withstand. Class B is higher than Class A. Here's an excerpt:
" 9. Insulation Class. The temperature limit of the insulation system or the maximum allowable total operating temperature of the motor. Three classes of insulation are used: Class A-105 degrees Celsius maximum; Class B-130 degrees Celsius maximum; Class F-155 degrees Celsius maximum."

I had always been curious about what this rating meant.
