Awesome fans! I love thai fans. I recently saw my first thai fans on my last trip to France.
I would like to get a Sunwindy too in 120 cm but the version with the cylindrical upper canopy. Are they very heavy? Is yours marked 50/60Hz? I think you said your Dai To Shi was very heavy.
Is the Marelli 120 or 220 volts?
I communicated with Ton Norasace too but it's indeed difficult.

sunwindy and dai to shi weigh almost the same, roughly 7 to 8 kgs, i dont remember what frequency rate it is but i think its 50hz only
marelli mentions 120v but ton told me it can run in 220v, andrew said its dual voltage as well, but i didnt try operating it yet
what thai fans did u see in france

I've seen a lot of NIB Sunwindy that says 50/60 Hz on the boxes. It seems you have one of those Marelli that says 110/220. Mine is like that too but it seems it's made for 220 only. I don't know how it could be used normally on 120. would it have to be wired differently? There's nothing on the fan that can make the switch between the two voltages. I'm not sure what the thai fans that I've seen in France. They look like Husan but with different canopies. My guess is that they are Mitsukawa but not with regular curved blades. I'm going to post them in my sightings thread soon.

I'm so jealous of all of the things! So many Thai fans are among the coolest metal blade spinners ever to exist in the world IMO, and what I love most is almost everything looks older than its actual age, at least by US standards of comparison. I mean, those Sunwindy fans are so cool for coming out of the 1990s.

Those are so cool! The Kawa and Lucky motors are shaped very much like motors from Moss Caribbean Breeze and other 80s fans we had here.

They still make those Sunwindies, they just changed the canopies on them.

I remember in my first visit, I wanted a sunwindy from the shop, but they didn't have it, I took daitoshi instead
