CFM is lower than the CFM in Rite-Hite Revolution. It's also lower CFM than Gold Lines together that take up space.

I've actually been checking out the site since it debuted a few months back... I'm not getting my hopes up for these as Hunter's quality continues to go downhill... even the 72" and 96" industrial fans they sell as part of their regular line are better fans than these...

I've been following developments since they announced the new division as well. I wouldn't say I'm exactly impressed or blown away, but I do think that they present some interesting new things when it comes to the HVLS industry. Like a direct drive HVLS fan of this magnitude is a pretty impressive feat and reduces a lot of maintenance, even if the CFMs don't quite stack up. Also the fact that it is so incredibly lightweight, I know normally we equate light with cheap when it comes to ceiling fans, but installing HVLS fans often can be a real beast of a mission and I don't think lighter fans would be unwelcome in this industry. I'll be curious to see how it develops over time.

If I were shopping for an HVLS, I'd go with Big Ass Fans, Rite-Hites, or the like. Something of higher quality.

I don't disagree as of now, I'm just saying they're bringing some interesting concepts to the table.

Hunter has always had good concepts,, its just a shame they don't know how to engineer them properly anymore..

That's entirely my point, even if the Hunter fans are trash, they're presenting something pretty revolutionary in HVLS. Some of the other HVLS companies might look at the concept and say 'we could do that too, and probably better'. A Big Ass Fan of this general stature at a lower price point could be pretty significant as it would also probably lower the cost of installation and certainly maintenance, making the product more accessible to those hesitant to drop such significant cash.
