I came upon this site in my search for I have 2 ceiling fans in my attic which predate my time in the house (1991). An arm on one blade was broken at some point during my children's teen years. I never found out exactly what happened. Anyway I purchased a set of arms at the local big box store and found later that the holes did not quite line up with those in my blades. At a local lighting store I was told that if I could identify the manufacturer then they might be able to point me in the right direction. I couldn't find any markings on the housing or blade so I'm hoping that one of the savvy members of ths site can help. If you can identify the fan or (even better) point me to where I can get a set of arms that would be great. Each of the big box stores carries the same type of arms. I'll try to post pictures but let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you, Kevin Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Those are pretty cheap fans, made by Air Cool I believe. Not worth repairing IMO but if you want to, try www.ceilingfanparts.com for parts.

They're not Watertons as they weren't out prior to the 90s.

I believe this one was actually branded Universal. Personally, I don't see these as worth the hassle.

Looks identical to me,, only difference is the hardware is brass and not black.. I'm not sure of when they came out.. I could very well be wrong..
