Last summer, I posted about how I found an unused NIB NuTone Elegance in a box at my late relative's house. The fan is dated 7/88. I also included pictures of a NuTone Hacienda and NuTone Decorator which had been installed in the home since the 80's: ada19851985.proboards.com/thread/9663/nib-nutone-eleganceWell, I'm finally moving and made sure to take these fans with me. The Hacienda and Decorator were removed and transported without incident to the new location. I'm glad because I was obsessed with these fans as a young kid and am fortune to have the opportunity to keep them. What's really cool though is that this NIB Elegance worked as good as new. In fact, it's one of the fastest fans I've ever seen. Its high speed is supersonic and even the medium is super fast. All of the light kits on these NuTones are original authentic NuTone light kits. I put three new Hunters in the rest of the house, which I bought from Menards (here in the Midwest). At my late relative's house, I replaced the Hacienda and Decorator with a couple of Hunter Five Minute fans from Lowe's (don't care since the house will be sold soon and it will make no difference to me). NuTone Elegance. Good as new after sitting almost 28 years in a box: Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedNuTone Hacienda. This is my favorite ceiling fan: Attachment Deleted

NuTone Decorator. Not as unique as the Elegance or Hacienda, but still a really cool fan: Attachment DeletedNow for the new Hunters. Hunter Etruscan. Exclusively sold at Menard's. The motor housing reminds me of the old Summer Breeze fans and it has some ornate designs on the side. Also like the light: Attachment DeletedHunter Rockledge. Again, sold exclusively at Menard's. A massive 60 inch fan. I like the motor housing design (by new fan standards) and the light: Attachment Deleted

Hunter Landsdowne outdoor fan. Another one exclusively sold at Menard's. Love the light on this one: Attachment DeletedThese are the two Five Minute Hunters from Lowe's that I replaced the Hacienda and Decorator with at my late relative's house. I got a little lazy here, but don't care too much because the house will be gone soon and the lights on these are nice and will be attractive to a normal buyer: Hunter Waldon: Attachment DeletedHunter Westminster: Attachment Deleted

I think your should put 5 blades on the elegance. To keep with the 5 blade theme with the hunters.

I think your should put 5 blades on the elegance. To keep with the 5 blade theme with the hunters. I only found four blades in the garage, even though there was a fifth bracket. Besides, I think I would have kept it in four blades even if I had a fifth blade. I like it being the same as the Hacienda and Decorator. This way I have three old fans with four blades and three new ones with five blades. The Hunter's are fine, but mainly are a compromise with my wife. She let me put up these old NuTones as long as the rest of the house could have modern new fans with the attractive light kits. I would have gone full vintage had it been completely up to me.
