Hey All, I'm the one who has the so-called fan. I finally became a member of this site, so please don't be confused.

OK, I finally got the fan up, and I shall show you the pics I took of it. He has emailed me the pics, and I will upload them to the TAT Gallery. Reason being, the fan is clearly made by TAT. It has the distintive canopy and blades, and is, as he said before, identical to the ornate TAT in the Gallery. It does indeed have the Ritz insignia on the switch housing. This is the later, early 80s Ritz logo, not the old Ritz with the 40lb green motor pullchain-reversible fans, this is the later style of Ritz such as the heater fan and Codep-alike huggers. Interesting, a link between later-Ritz and TAT.

Speaking of ritz, Dan, how bad do you want a ritz emperor?

Speaking of ritz, Dan, how bad do you want a ritz emperor? I'd like one, I have somewhat of a sentimental attachment to them, although there are other fans that are certainly more important to me to find. But I know someone who wants one very badly, as in Tara badly. So if I found one, I'd probably end up giving/selling/trading it to him, after I got a good look at it.

My next door neighbor has a ritz emperor in their encolsed side porch. They rarely ever use it though, they only use it for the light. I'll try to buy the fan off of them eventually.

What sort of condition is it in, being on a porch? The porch is more like a sunroom really. I haven't really gotten a clear enough look at it to know its exact condition, but from a distance the fan looks to be in pretty good shape.
