Hey All, I just recently came across an old ornate antique brass Ritz spinner fan with a lower canopy. I found it in the basement of a house that was donated to my church, which is currently being used as a "coffeehouse" where I get together with my cronies every Wednesday night. The fan was replaced by a Harbor Breeze Builder series. I'm working on claiming that Ritz fan and putting it to good use.

Ritz spinner with lower canopy? I've never seen one. Must be from the later (80s) line of Ritz, that used the different logo (the word RITZ with many lines making up each letter). Anyhow, I've love to see some photos. Where does it say that it's a Ritz?

I'm slightly convinced that it could be a Wing TAT. I saved its life and the antique brass finish has some signs of aging. I shall take some pics of it.

I've never seen a Ritz spinner fan, much less a Ritz fan that was labeled in such a manner you could determine the brand name while the fan was installed. A link between Ritz and Wing Tat is new to me. I've never seen a Wing Tat/TAT fan with any Ritz-like features. Both were made in Hong Kong so it is possible. Tat fans have a fairly distinctive upper canopy, so if your Ritz spinner has that same squared upper canopy, then a link is confirmed. But we all know the story. There are, and have always been, only a select few factories actually making these fans, they're just imported by different companies under different names.

I found an old antique brass litex sheffield fan NIB at a thrift/antique shop the other day and it had SMC blade brackets. I have a brass one.

Mine measures to be 46" in blade diameter, and is very heavy.
