my god...this kind of crap plagues the warning siren community all the time. With the demise of [EDITED OUT] trolling, i thought this wouldn't happen to us again!
EDIT: Stop tagging members to call them out. Next offense is an automatic 3-day vacation

YouTube thievery happens much more often than we realize. Everyone, especially the members who originally posted the videos, needs to report any such activity to YouTube.

Yeah, someone stole my Redington IV video once. I just filed a copyright claim and YouTube removed it.

YouTube is actually pretty good about removing videos, or closing the account entirely, of those who are stealing videos.

I filed a false copyright claim on one of the videos with my old account because I wanted to terminate my old account, and start over with my new account, but instead, YouTube removed a video I filed. I still can't believe that YouTube removed that video. That employee should be fired.

It sucks when your content is uploaded by somebody else. I remember when Jonah Musto impersonated my channel and spread some malicious rumors too. Thank God that issue has be resolved!

Oh dear, Max, don't make this thread get out of hand! I still can't believe that YouTube removed that video. That employee should be fired. No, that employee should not be fired.. you should be banned from YouTube. Copyright claims are legal notices, you don't play around with legal stuff. If you wanted to terminate the acocount to make a new one, that would have been the route to go, not pulling some illegal nonsense to make it happen.

I believed employee should be fired, because if a troll files a false copyright claim, it wouldn't be fair for me to get a strike. I also wanted to remove all of my comments, And I thought terminating would remove all of my comments, which is why I didn't simply close my account.

You can "believed" that if you want, but the reality is you should get a strike for filing false claims.

I was saying that employee should be fired for accepting a false claim instead of giving me a strike.

Yes, I tried to get a strike, but that video got removed instead. I was saying that employee should be fired for accepting a false claim instead of giving me a strike. Generally when an employee makes an error, they don't just immediately get fired. If that were the case, nobody would have a job...

Minor errors don't really matter very much, but some errors can get you fired instantly. I can't tell for sure if that's an only error this employee made, or that employee made some other errors.

Do you know that I've had a job before in which I worked in management, and dealt with people making errors? I know how its handled...
