So I installed a Kendal Aviator fan (model AC10842wh) mid July if I recall. Anyways, this morning I went to turn the fan on, OK: wall switch ON, hit the light and low speed buttons on the remote. Light goes on, blades do not spin. I can hear the fan and the remote communicating with each other in that there is an audible click at the fan whenever a command from the remote is recognized. Tried the reverse mode, nothing. I hear a motor, but the fan doesn't operate. Has anybody got an idea as to why the fan doesn't run?
Just a heads up, I am in a really bad mood. If anybody makes any comments regarding the fan being a piece of crap, should have bought an older fan, or anything similar, you will get flamed. Just letting you know now. I have absolutely zero time to deal with peoples' opinions regarding what I bought or how much of a piece of crap this fan is. I have had zero problems with the Enigma, 2010 Hunter or the 2012 Monte Carlo. Therefore a generalized statement that new fans are crap is not required.

Sounds like the capacitor failed.

Well, clearly the problem is that the fan is a piece of crap!
Is it new? Can you return it?

The capacitor did indeed fail. Took the damn thing apart, installed new cap. Fan runs as it should.
By the way Dan: It's not the fan that's a POS.....its the capacitor. All good!
