These fans are located at a local garage. I've gone by the place several times, but never had any reason to go in unit recently. I knew there were at least 2 fans in there because you could see them from the outside. Once I got in, I discovered there were actually four fans. Two in the main room and another 2 (at least from what I could see) in the actual garage part of the place. The pictures aren't going to be the greatest quality, the staff people were all present. The first ones are very early Hampton Bay Chathams, (this is probably going to be a let down for most readers) but I was happy to see them because those are amongst my favorite ceiling fans, and I've never seen ones this old. They were in good condition too! Here's the pictures: (Don't stop reading yet, there are some industrials that should be of more interest afterwards). Now for the industrial. This picture isn't so hot, but I'm surprised it came out as good as it did for how I took it. Anyway, the motor has that shape where the middle of it is indented, in the indent there is a really thick red/orange line. The bottom of the motor is rounded There was one that was off, this one was going at full speed. They are the same fans. They have curved-tip blades. There was no way to get a photograph of the one that was off, it was just too far away. This one that was running was mounted right above the counter, it was moving a good breeze and was pretty quiet. Unfortunately only one photograph. Any ideas as to what it is? It looks like its got to be pretty up there in age...

You sure those arent Encons? Industrial looks like an Envirofan Orange Line! They do resemble Encon Casanovas; however, they have Hampton Bay stickers on the switch housing. Maybe they're not Chathams, but they're definitely Hampton Bay. Indistrial could be a Banville Orange Line fan, I really have no idea what it is. The motor shape doesn't remind me of Envirofan, but on the other hand it doesn't remind me of anything else either! This is the only Orange Line I've seen in person. From what I've heard they're rare, so its pretty neat there is one this close to me. I drive by that place all the time, its righrt near my local skatepark.

That would sound about right. I guess the Hampton Bay's are probably from around the same time, or maybe a little later.

The Hampton Bays are made by Encon, and they're from the early-mid 90s. I didn't know Encon ever made fans for Hampton Bay. That would certainly explain the resemblance.

Those are Encon? Makes sense, even though they resemble an Alaron hugger. Were some Alaron fans made by encon?

They're Hampton Bay, but Hampton Bay is just a relabel, there is always another company behind them that actually does the manufacturing. The more I looked into it, I am starting to question the fact that Encon made the motors. Because Encon makes entire ceiling fans themselves, I find it unlikely they would resell motors to other brands, especially considering that Encon outsources for their own motors to begin with. My new theory is that they're not Chathams, some other model that I just don't know about. If I knew the age, which I don't, it would make it much easier to find out who made them.
