Thanks for clarifying this confusion for me. I should've known that the Hunter people probably forgot that they used to make fans in the US. As it turns out, the correct 3 speed (OFF,L+1,L+2,L+3) Zing Ear replacement switch is ZE-268S1.

vanhalen5150, you are absolutely correct. Red, Yellow, & Gray ohm out the same. Now, you say the repair is possible but delicate. How do I do it and are there any instructionals online?

I have a used winding I will sell for $80. It doesn't look great (been sprayed over with paint) but it works fine. That's the easiest solution for you.

Regarding the 110 RPM speed--several years ago after a move and reinstalling our Hunter Orginal 25574 that we bought in 1989 our fan was doing the same thing. I t turned out the the oil had leaked out during the move and I forgot to replace it after instaling the fan and after many hours of running it would not change speed and ran slow. I put oil in it and it ran like new at all speeds.

The one I had that ran at 110 RPM at all speeds didn't have an oil issue. If it were an oil problem, low would not have run as low is much slower on a 3-speed Original even when it is working properly.
