Thanks!! This evening was final finish on some parts with clear coat such as some of the blade irons, and switch housing, and the grill which didn't go so well.. Had to strip the grill seeing how the finish got screwed up with residue.. So another 4 days of process with that.. Now labeled all the wires, and took reference photos.. Removed the whole oil/bearing compartment.. I think I'll leave the inside alone.. It's rusted but not badly Took steal wool, engine degreaser, and electronic contact cleaner and removed all the dried up crud and rust.. Now looks clean.. Also cleaned the bearings and primed the outside..

Wow, I guess there wasnt a gap in Emerson making fans . . . they went straight from this to Blenderfans in the 1960s!

I notice back in the early 1900's, alot of designs would pretty much stay the same all the way up into the 60s.. I wish things were like this now.. It's too bad that blenderfans aren't around now.. Nowadays all they do is bend tuna can metal and melt plastic into different shapes to create these pretty looking cheap fans that attract the average stupid consumer.. That pretty much explains why most products are just a brand name now and pretty much have been like that for the last 20+ years..

Well blenderfans have been around since at least 1969 . . . someone I believe has seen proof of as early as 1965 . . . if there was a gap it wasnt very long!

Is it just me or does it seem that antique fans like GE's and such are the most popular to get repainted by the first owners?

The longer they have hung, the more likely they will get a coat of house paint.
My record is 14 or more coats (could have been a couple of same color coats).
Once you paint them, they then get a new coat with every room repaint.
