I have a theory that these, and all the imported Nutone stuff from this era, was made by TAT. No one else agrees with me. Prooooobably because your theory is B0llocks! Give us proof...

Open a Slimline (I) motor, open a TAT spinner motor. Compare.

If the motor is similar to a TAT's, it is the ONLY thing on these fans that resembles one (and you are asking us to judge by the WINDINGS?!?!) These fans seem much better built in general. I don't know that I've ever come across a genuinely powerful TAT except for maybe the industrials.

Not just the windings. The fittings, the screws, the design of the castings.
All of the TATs I've encountered have been well made.

Three import Originals today, the last three from Lowes. They've been slowly lowering the price for awhile, I go online to check again today and they're down to $50 from $199 a week ago. They managed to sell I think five in that time, before that IDK if they sold a single one, it always seemed like the same fans sitting in the same place each time I looked at them. I think maybe they just want to reclaim their shelf space since they obviously didn't sell well here... Hopefully it doesn't mean the end for the Original, but you guys might want to check your local stores and see what's going on with these in your area. Not sure what I'm going to do with them, but for $50 a piece I didn't want to stand by and lose opportunities.

Not a bad score! I saw one on clearance last weekend at my local Lowe's for $99.60, it was the display model. If the price comes down I may see about getting it, but I didn't see any Originals at Lowe's in the box. They're still $349 online

So I should keep an eye on the display too I guess... That might be $25 at this rate lol.

I saw the newer Taiwan made original on display at Home Depot the other day, the only one that catches my eye.. From what I see, the oil bath motor is still the same inside, but made in Taiwan, or did they change anything?
Those were defiantly a good deal...

Instead on being a rotor in between the windings it's a skeletal motor, still oilbath though

Great finds, Cole! Looks like you scored some great stuff since I checked last. I love the various Casablanca merchandise! Great score on the Originals as well.
