Just like my two except this one apparently has a flat switch cap. Is it 3 or 4 speed? 4 speed.

Awesome, I have two I've had installed in my house from early on... I don't think I'll be taking them down any time soon. Because they're textured brown (and were NIB when I got them) they don't look dated at all - almost like that "bronze" finish they use nowadays.

As many of you know, I have one too and I got it off Craigslist 5 years ago.
It did have some issues, but I was able to fix them with a spare capacitor from an earlier TOC that I parted out.
I had said fan installed for a good portion of last year.
Cole, I know Will mentioned of some bearing noise with your TOC. Is it obvious?

I don't have any bearing noise on it at all, at least not that I noticed. I mainly noticed the motor hum on it.

They are SILENT if you swap the metal ball for a rubber one.

I use to have one of these.. I don't remember if it was 3 or 4 speed.. I remember finding it in the garbage along with the Sears 3 bladed blender fan.. Which reminds me, it's been a loooong time since I found a good road side find..

Neither have I.. They've made it around here to where bulk pick up is every two weeks and you have to put out the day before or else you get fined.. Also regular trash requires city container with lid and trash cannot be to where lid can't shut..

We have the whole city container thing with automated pickup as well which makes me wonder how many fans I've missed inside of them. I picked up three ceiling fans just in my neighborhood before they made you contain things. The only saving grace is Cleanup Week here when you get all the piles at once, aside from that I haven't had an "unscheduled" garbage find in years either.

Thanks guys. I really love them in PB as well. PB Homestead seems most common here in town, I don't think I've found one here that wasn't all PB thus far other than the satin brass sideband on my Santa Cruz.
