dunno if you realized that i was offline last weekend and some days this week, last weekend i went to a small town known as dhaid to my friend's farm, but in one of the days, i just left to take photos of fans on the highway since i was very bored (the highway has a blast of ceiling fans) a KDK fan with it's upper canopy dropped 2 indian fans at the service garage another KDK looks alot like mine but it has a different lower canopy a national with it's bottom cover fallen down (the fan can still spin) 2 alfa fans (they look like indian fans) the awesome curvy bladed SMC this one is in my farm (the same place where i took the 1994 SMC) but this one is from late 70s or early 80s this is an abandoned building in a farm since maybe early 90s.... however the gates were sealed and there was no entry, at least i was able to snap this pic from far away.. the fans turned out to be all SMCs

Nice! The KDKs are pretty cool, and I love that SMC with curved blades! It's sad to see those abandoned SMCs in the last building though; the blades are are pretty much pointing right towards the ground.

Whoa so many fans in abandoned places! Actually that KDK have more than its canopy fallen but the whole fan is falling hanging only by wires or maybe its a long hook. Whoa that curvy blade fan is soooo filthy that it looks brown! The 4 first pics, theses fans were installed outside? I love those SMC with the curved blades! OMG poor SMC's! Is this building missing its walls or its made to be like this? I wonder how metal blades ended warped? Especially in a such dry climate. Vandalism or the rust on the blades?? It reminds me of the fans at the airport of N'Djamena. Most of them had their blades bent down like that. It scared and shocked me what I saw that in person back in September 2001. In that case it was obviously vandalism.

all the fans (except for the 2 SMCs and alfa) are outside and most of them were snapped when i was in the car roaming in the main road, none of them are abandoned except for the rusty SMCs
i have no idea if that building had any walls or not but it looks like it didn't have any wall around it except on one side
i can't agree any further warped ceiling fans are indeed scary.. i remember when i was in malaysia, there was a restaurant with outdoor fans, the blades were all badly warped and the fan was wobbling badly at low speed
my 2002 SMC blades were all bent like the ones in the last picture

explored that abandoned building even more and discovered why were there fans and regulators replaced.. the reason was crompton greaves regulator (like the big one i have) is not a very durable switch and the thing where you change the speed gets damaged pretty quickly so here are some new pics the EEC (same as mine) with a nest national the beasty crompton greaves that got burned it looks similar to the one i posted before but this one has a thinner motor and different canopies an old usha switch finally an ADA SMC

If the canopy on the EEC would go all the way to the ceiling there would not be a nest on it.
Its true that the canopies and even blades on the burned fan looks Crompton Greaves but the motor really does not look like the one from an Indian fan. What happened to it?? The capacitor caught in fire?
Whoa the 4th fan look so much like an old NuTone Industrial.
Did you saw the fan that goes with the USHA control? Was it still power in that abandoned building cause the control is still on speed 1?

Was it still power in that abandoned building cause the control is still on speed 1? i agree the motor looks more like chinese.. it seems like the capacitor caught in fire due to keeping the fan on low speed the whole month.. i found one already dismounted and examined it, the capacitor looks exactly like the old relites, there were no tags or stickers so far when i searched for the date.. it might be hidden under the dust yes, it's the same as that usha i posted before but with a very short downrod

It's just the bottom of the motor on that beasty fan that isn't CG. The top looks about right to me, but that big rounded bottom section is all wrong. Would love to find out what they are for sure...

I have to agree with Jean about the 4th Industrial ceiling fan
It looks like a Nutone because of that Motor
