Ive started liking old tv's as well, the kind of tv's that date back to around the times of the ceiling fans mentioned on this site too. im NOT talking about those 1950s and 60s style tvs. the ones from the 80s, that i grew up around as a kid. some examples: Zenith from 1985 and is my fav, im looking for one like this only with two big dials rather then buttions Maganvox from 1982 The "sit on floor" style from 1980 and this one i currently own, picked up at a habbitat. brand name is "Proformance" made by sears roebuck (never herd of this brand, would like more info though) dated january 1984

I like some of the old TVs too. There was a Zenith like that with dials at a local thrift store a while back. It's gone now, if I'd known you wanted it I could have picked it up. I can keep watch for you though.

That'd be cool. im not too picky on sizes, a while back i had a Sharp brand tv from 1983 i belive, it was a 13 inch i think, color picture with dials on the side, brown woodgrain finish, regretfully i dont have it anymore. another reason im into old tv's is because i noticed over the past few years tube tv's are starting to become extinct like VHS tapes etc. everyones into those lcd tv's now, theyre nice and have great picture but wayyyy too pricey right now, not worth it to me.

All but one of our tvs is LCD, and the other is a Magnavox tube one from the early 2000's. I also have an older Magnavox tv that my parents have had forever.

We used to have a 1981 color, no remote 19'' RCA TV with fake oak and chrome accents. We replaced it with a black cabinet 19'' Samsung with remote in 1999.

I wonder where my parent's tv is, I know for sure we have it, just not where it is. Although you can't really find much of anything in our house it's stuffed so full of junk, lol.

My grandparents have a new LG Plasma tv, it's enormous for the space, and I think the sales guy kind of forced it on them to make money. They also have two older tvs, don't remember what brands.

I hate those sales scams, i know not to get sucked into them. those guys get paid mostly off comission so they have to sell as much as they can.

I used to have a Sears SR2000 25" oak console tv from 1985 and a SR1000 13" with dials as well as a 13" Capehart.
The console broke and I now have 1 80s tv, a 5" black and white one.
I also have a 1996 RCA color tv, it's black and I found it in the trash. It still works great though. I've had it for about 8 years.
I don't have any plasma or LCD tvs yet, but most of my family have them.
