PARTED OUT - motor mount brokenLOTS of pictures from throughout the week:
Emperor. This originally had old-style SMC-type brackets, so I'm pretty sure it was a CEC. One of them snapped so I used a set of Emperor blades that has been lying around since before I started volunteering to replace the blades.
Antica... note the labels on top of the motor. The light kit was originally a brass fitter with an ugly flowered globe and a pullchain that didn't work, so I first removed it, then "modernized" the fan with an extra light kit I had stored away. I took the tassel off (which was in nearly mint condition) and have it stored away.
This one, while still a quick little fan, goes a little bit slower than my 5-blade and takes a long time to get up to speed, which makes me wonder if the capacitor is starting to go out. Of the several Anticas I've worked with, all but one had faulty capacitors.
Graytons
52" Litex builder; has 4/5 blade option but came in with 4 blades

The weird "N.A.F." that I could not use. It came from the same house as the Antica. Now I know where that weird set of blades and brackets I found when I started (and we still have) came from.
This fan had a heavy motor with a five-blade adaptor permanently screwed into it with no way to get it off that I could tell. Its mounting system was nearly identical to a Hunter Original. It has an extra pullchain with the option to hook the light kit up to the red wire from the ceiling or a black wire from the extra pullchain. I tested the fan upside down on my ladder, and despite the heavy motor, the speeds were unimpressive. I also harvested another near-mint tassel from this one as I was parting it out.
Close up of where the short caused the mount to break. Not showing is the set screw where the actual short appeared to take place.
Some updated pics of the blade shelf (which is clearing out pretty quickly now, amazingly enough) and the bracket shelf I put together a couple of months ago.
The six main styles of regular-sized moon blade brackets... sorry, the light is bad so 1 and 2 are not very distinguishable in this picture
1) Zephyr style, no taper where the arm meets the bottom of the blade
2) Zephyr stile, with taper
3) Outward curving bars, Evergo/Christina/Hunter Studio Series etc. style
4) Inward curving bars
5) Old style SMC/CEC
6) Single-bar, Loyal/some Codep
