This summer I went to Minneapolis and Stillwater with my family. Stillwater has many cool fans for such a small area. Here are the pics that I took when I was there. Most of these fans are located in antique shops. First off, an SMC from the movie The Borrowers 60's Original at the 50's Grill in Brooklyn Center, the restaurant has four in all. Emerson 1895 Series, 1 of 2 and what are the other Emersons? Is this a View Fan? Same spinner, note the blade is crooked, it's missing two blade screws. I had tried to reach out to tighten them and they went flying off. I don't know how they had managed to stay on before that. The Emersons and View are in the same shop. In another shop they have six Hunter Originals, two on short rods, four on long rods. They also have some Quick-Connects on the third floor. The Originals have a very cool set-up. Poor, violated Blender Fan in another shop A Hampton Bay that replaced a Blender Fan adjacent to the other, the replaced Blender Fan had been violated as well An unkown spinner and a Carroway. The canopy on the first one is not original, as it's too big for the downrod, so what is it? Another Carroway? Canarm, there are two, cheap industrial, there are two and one squeaks badly and an SMC 5-blade A-52 The Carroway(s), Industrials, and SMC were all in one shop Cheap new industrial under the awning of The Freighthouse restaurant, about 10-12 of these replaced the previous Dayton/Marleys Four of these in Stillwater Antiques: A Caribbean Electric Co. Spinner in a dentist's office That's it everyone. Please Enjoy!

I go to Minneapolis about once a month. Any places you suggest I check out?
Those white Emersons are Casablanca Designer Series aka Plastic Emersons. I like the one with pointed blades.

Okay, thanks Dan.
Down by the U of M in Minneapolis, there are many shops and cafe's with what look to be cool fans. I have yet to check them out, so they could be builder fans.

Wow, you have some cool fans there Cole. I love the 60's Originals. Is the blenderfan picture mirrored, or did they make them with the reverse pointing blades?

BTW that spinner has a Moss Tropical Breeze switch housing, so I'm not sure if it's a Moss or a View Fan. The rest of it looks like a View Fan.
Good question re: the blenderfan.

On the Blender, thanks to Andrew, I know it spins clockwise. I still know that it was painted though.

On the Blender, note the left-most blade is bent slightly toward the bottom most blade. Some idiot has painted over the original finish and bent the blade arms the wrong way, making it basically useless and probably causing it to wobble. They are lucky they didn't break. That is why I called it "Violated" Wrong. The blades are NOT bent, Emerson DID make clockwise spinning fans. The paint finish is also looks to be original.

Interesting about it spinning clockwise, but I know for sure they were painted in a reddish color, the woodgrain just shows through on the blades. It looks like the original finish because I didn't have the flash on.

If that is indeed a paint job, it appears as if they did a less than sloppy job with it.

I know, right?
I thought it looked terrible, and so did my dad. Any person could tell that it was not the original color

Yes I've seen the brown 220 Volts 36'' SMC Laguna from the movie The Borrowers (1997) I could make a list of movies with what ceiling fans you can see in them. Ewww Those 60s Originals are some of the worst looking Hunter Originals ever. The canopy remind me of those cheap Industrials of today and the switch housing is not as rounded as it was in the 1920-1940s. And the brackets well most of peoples know the story about them. Actually the brown 36'' Emerson blender seems to be in very good condition. Very clean. Its just that the blades seems over pitched. Are those blades real wood?? Finally! I really wondered what looked one of those straight bladed Westinghouse Industrial up. They are SOOO Slim. Much slimmer than Nutone Slimline. ;D The cheap Industrial is probably a Menard's Industrial. The chrome Industrial looks a lot like a Canarm Industrial but they never made them in chrome. Only white, brown or black. Thanks for the pics!

Jean, I thought the industrials under the awning were Menard's too, but I don't think they have a Menard's there.
What chrome industrial? The one that was in Stillwater Antiques? If this is what you're referring to, it is in fact brown. Also the Blender was painted a HORRIBLE red.

The bottom of the motor of the brown Canarm Industrial looks glossy and shiny just like chrome. But then I notice the downroad and canopies. Its brown.
