Note that all these Cromptons are sold under the distributor "Unique Energy Products" in Stone Mountain, Georgia... anyone live near there? Wood blades with plain brackets Unusual brackets Metal blades with plain brackets... yes, there is a fourth blade, but that's what you get with black and white photography I suppose: Apparently Encon wrote a book similar to "The Fan Book" in 1983... anyone have a copy? If not I guess we can all put this at the top of our search lists:

If not I guess we can all put this at the top of our search lists: Dude, that isn't another The Fan Book...it's a pamphlet for Pete's sake. Besides, I'm betting it doesn't contain the same type of encyclopedic info that TFB contains...I'm betting it reads a little more like a sales brochure.

Like one of those Home Depot brochures? To advertise the fans?

Like one of those Home Depot brochures? To advertise the fans? No. Have you ever seen The Fan Book? It reads like an encyclopedia, with a strong undertone of "buy Casablanca, they're the best!". The 26-page Encon brochure, I'm betting, is similar ("buy Encon, you can save money!"), but without the hundred-odd pages of scientific stuff. Encon, for those of you who don't know, is a portmanteau of "energy conservation".

I love those ornate light kits on the first and last pictures!
I have spotted a handful of CGs in GA, all labeled Crompton Greaves. I've seen them Crompton Greaves and Encon, never anything else. They are REALLY common in northern IL.
