Today I went to a thrift store I stop at sometimes. I found two white ceiling fans, 52" fans with five blades. I thought they looked interesting and at a closer look I saw they have a flywheel type motor. That was really interesting to me so I knew I wanted one. I could not find a brand on them. I bought one which had a light kit for $20. The other one was $10 but no light kit. I may go back for it if it's still there. The one I got is still in the car but I will look it over and get photos. It's strange I can't find a name on it but I'll look closer. There is a UL sticker that had the date of 2006. The vents on it are strange looking, I can't place what it could possibly be, but I'm pretty sure it's not Casablanca.

You got a great deal on an excellent fan!
Always thought it was neat they sold the 1895/Legend, the premium all as the flagship but still had the Apollo as another full size stack motor fan along side with it. I always kind of looked at it as the competitor To the delta II/III

Someone was saying this was basically Emerson's take on the Delta II. I usually don't see newer Emersons around here, some older 1895's and some of the older Sears Emersons, but not much of these. Since there were two of these I have to imagine they came out of probably a new house at the time. I want to go back for the other one now that I know what they are but Tuesday is the soonest I could get there. It may be gone by then. At least I got the better of the two having the light kit.
Ironically the store these came from has two white 1895's that were installed a few years ago. The rest are 5 blade builders of some kind, that's in the newer part, and also a spinner.

Emerson’s are weird. Obviously they had/have a dealer network but what I’ve always wondered is what was the percentage was that was formal showroom. I’ve never been to a showroom that sold Emerson in my life. They obviously had a percentage as rebadged Sears fans and I’ve seen them sold at hardware stores but most of there presence I ever saw was online or through catalogs. They make an excellent product on par with Casablanca. They don’t have that luxury feel Casablancas have but made for a good fan. Obviously too there line has had a lot more diverse and range of offerings too.
1895s we’re somewhat common but that’s it in my area. I remember some Legends at a steakhouse that I had some fond memories at 😊

I went back today on lunch to see if the other one might still be there, and it actually was. So I went ahead and got it. It was $15 and this one did not have a light kit. So in total I got two fans and one banker light kit for $35 which I think was a great deal.
Yeah I can't think where here would have sold them. The only lighting shop we have here now and would have by then sells mostly Monte Carlo I think. But it's a little odd because in real estate listings when I do see Emerson fans, it tends to be the town where I got these two. So I wonder if maybe a builder there used them or something.

The way I look at it what would a schoolhouse globe light kit cost you at Home Depot now a days? $20-25 you got a great deal!

I did notice the light kit has those candelabra sockets. I'm guessing since it's from around a 2007, it probably has one of those wattage limiters inside, but I haven't looked.

I went back to same thrift store today (on vacation today) and saw two ceiling fans.
One was a white/PB bottom mount spinner with white stencil blades (maybe Encon).
The other was a 5 blade white GE vent. It had half moon arms and a pretty big white spinner motor inside so my guess it was a Gulf Coast Dixie Belle.
They were $10 each. I might get that Dixie Belle, since I hear they are really good fans, not sure though. I have too many white fans already!

I have 4 in my house and at $250 a piece get the $10 one LOL
