Does anybody have those Torx screws with the point in the middle?
I have two Torx sets, one my grandma got me for Christmas 2020 at Harbor Freight, and my dad also got me a set of Hyper Tough drivers for Christmas this year. But neither will work on the Torx with the point in the middle!

I have none. When I bought my house the previous owner did some renovations in which mostly anything he touched he used them. A lot of things had to be redone. I would borrow my father in laws whenever I was removing or modifying something of his and would replace it with Phillips screws. I feel like they constantly would strip out comparably.

Wow that is weird! I've never heard of using a Torx screw for any project. When I was a kid I remember the happy meal toys from McDonald's used those triangular bit screws. I have a Duracraft Turbo Fan where every other screw was one of those and the rest were Phillips. I used a small flat screwdriver and got them out. I was desperate to get it clean. LOL
Now though I have a Honeywell heater that I need to open to clean out the dust and every screw is a multipoint Torx with that security dot! They really didn't want anyone to open it. Next they'll be gluing them together. LOL

When push comes to shove, (and you don't have the correct "hollowed out" security Torx head) you can take a very small flat headed screwdriver and insert it next to the screw's center pin, pry and snap it off. The use a regular solid Torx head to remove the "security" screw.
Hope this helps and take care!
