Hello Fan Enthusiasts:
My parents recently removed and replaced two old fans on their back porch that have been there since they bought their house in the 1960s. (The house was built in the 1950s.) The fans were always very loud and were recently replaced for modern, quieter versions. That said, my mother was wondering their value in order to possibly sell them. They are Westinghouse Style# 115725B and serial number 717347. They have the original blades and stamped plates on both - Pittburg is misspelled without the 'h.' They are both very heavy - I believe possibly cast iron?
Does anyone here know an estimate value of these fans? Are they worth anything? Any information that experts on this forum could provide would be much appreciated.
Thank you very much Joel Childress

Well first of all, dont set them face down on the switch. 90% of these fans are found with the switch broken which cuts into their value.
In good working, unrestored shape, I'd say $50-100 locally, $100-200 on eBay. They are known as the "Sidewinder" model and are from the early 1900s, much older than the house.
