I don’t know the exact model name but these were one of the higher priced hunters of the early to mid 2000s not super common not rare by any means just one of the more popular models like the Stratford, studio series, etc. I think this one was in Hunters core lineup I may be wrong and it was a Prestige line fan someone else will know those specifics.

It is a Wellesley, the older version. The more common newer version is quick connect, this was made in 01. I was just wondering about this older version. Thanks!

I see a bit of Summer Breeze/Eastern Shore/Passport III styling in the motor housing. If it's a 2001 it should be a very good fan.

You already know what model this is. This particular fan isn't very common, but Hunter made plenty of fans with the same motor and specs as this. These were a little fancier than fans of the same caliber (Vista, Savoy, Stratford, Passport III, etc.) but were still priced similar to other mid-range Hunters like those. Fan uses a 172×15mm AirMax skeletal motor and a 12° blade pitch. Decent but not great power, but the AirMax motor (since it's skeletal and high quality) is one of the most reliable motors made for a ceiling fan. Keep this one around; they're great fans.

Do you know of any rarer Hunters? I do know the Wellesley has 2 versions. This one,(2001-2002) which I was wondering about the popularity of, and the newer quick connect version (2003-2005?)

There's quite a few rare Hunters, most of them from the '90s and 2000s. There's the Embassy (only GE vent Hunter made), the Excalibur (looks like the Infiniti but builder vents), the Belle Meade, the Custom Home, the Avignon....Hunter made so many fans I can't even begin to scrape the surface of what's rare. I'm guessing that the 2003-2005 Wellsley that became a 5-minute fan was downgraded to a spinner motor; most 5-minute Hunter's were lower-midrange stamped spinner motor home store (Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards) fans.

I have seen the old Avginon and it is strange! When was the Wellesley discontinued? I would like to know as much as possible on this fan! Thanks!
