I really like the Windmill fan. It's more for aesthetic than air movement, but it just looks cool.

Cole, darn it! You always make everybody so jealous On a more serious note, the introduction of the Windmill has always struck me as (sort of) new beginning for Quorum. I am definitely with you in thinking they're no longer just "some builder fan company." Also pleasant to see is that some more traditionally-styled offerings such as the Pinnacle are still being sold, so its not as if they are exclusively catering to one market. Oh yes, and that seeded glass light kit compliments the fan beautifully, certainly adding to the spectacular-factor! I agree, EVERYBODY knew the Quorum name when that Windmill dropped. They're killing it, the catalog is way bigger than I ever realized. And like I said, really getting in there and being able to experience the company culture on a deeper level was enlightening. You're so right, they really have a little something to cater to every end of the market. And worth mentioning, they're revolutionizing the 'builder fan' as we know it. If y'all haven't checked out their new Breeze series, it's worth looking at. Premium finishes like aged brass and noir (a sort of matte black), updated styling, nice integrated light options, all available at an excellent price point. Costs a little bit more than a standard builder fan, but for just a few bucks more you can take the design to a whole other level. It's a stunning budget-price fan that doesn't sacrifice on style, which is usually that place where you have to sacrifice when on a budget. I really like the Windmill fan. It's more for aesthetic than air movement, but it just looks cool. It honestly doesn't disappoint on air movement either. The numbers look and sound low, but I was impressed comparing what I actually felt against those numbers. I think each respective size would do well for the typical environments they'd be placed in, especially if you bring them down with an appropriate length downrod. I've heard they don't really do well outdoors though, and believe it. You kind of rely on the air bouncing off of walls and surfaces with this one. Out in the open air, you just lose all the air movement you'd otherwise feel.

Another post-Lightovation arrival here, the 60" Super Janet from Matthews/Atlas. I usually keep my reviews pretty focused on the positives, but even then, it's not every day that a fan checks every box for me. Super Janet is one of those that comes really close. Design, build, performance, there's just not really anything I don't love. Such a flexible, highly transitional design. It can be dressed up or down with the motor and blade combinations available. I'd love to see even more expansion in that department, but even as it sits, I can't imagine an install where this fan wouldn't look amazing. I talked with Chuck Matthews more than I did with anybody at other manufacturers during Lightovation, he was the one who pointed out the interesting nature of the 60" model, because it's definitely a big fan, but it doesn't take control or command a room simply because of the size. Sometimes you have a fan that just takes up so much visual weight that it bogs the overall room design down, but I don't think that's possible with Super Janet. I'm just such a big fan. I've loved all of my Atlas products in the past, this is another top fave.

I love it, or should I say her! She's well deserving of her name for sure!

If you saw the video I put up this morning, then you know the Breeze is my latest Quorum fan. It’s not necessarily a fan I would’ve chosen to work with if I didn’t understand what it aims to do and there wasn’t such excitement over it from both Quorum and other friends in showroom sales. This fan retails in general around ~$20-$40 more than comparable base builder fans from any manufacturer, but OMG what you get for those few extra dollars is honestly incredible. Solid construction (this thing is no tuna can), upgraded glass (Quorum has such amazing glass), seamless and current design, premium finishes like aged brass and Noir matte black. This fan makes a higher level of design much more accessible for an overall tight budget, or for spaces where you’d normally save money by going with a basic builder fan. Yes, this is still a basic fan. You’re not getting killer specs or any bells and whistles, but I am SO incredibly thrilled with what this fan introduces to the world of affordable showroom ceiling fans. I’ve always kind of felt that if you’re buying a builder fan, you might as well go to the home center and buy a piece of crap that at least LOOKS cool for the same way-too-high price. Not the case here, this fan is better than the home center house brands can do.

Hunter Spectrum from Cleanup Week this year. Obviously had to add my own blades, also downrod/canopy/remote and swapped the remote receiver as the light was stuck on. Kind of took a lot to get this one complete and functional again, nothing hard, but more than I'd usually put in. This one was worth it, really a neat fan particularly when you get inside and see the construction of it.

So the Spectrum is basically a "gallery edition" of the Sea Air?

So the Spectrum is basically a "gallery edition" of the Sea Air? No because the Spectrum is only an indoor fan, whereas the Sea Air is an outdoor fan... it basically uses a Sea Air Housing and blade arms, but none of the other components from a Sea Air. The Spectrum also uses a remote control, whereas the Sea Air uses a pull chain.

Got this Homestead Santa Cruz Remote in original box(es) from Brandon. One of my favorite Homestead models, couldn't pass it up.
