I recall my parents had only one fan, it was a Lakewood 3rd gen, either a 223 or 200i, I believe it was gray, but it's hard to recall. It was given to my aunt after hurricane Andrew because they desperately needed a fan after the storm.
The only other thing resembling a fan we had was a Lakewood space heater, that was brown from the 80s. It later was sold in a garage sale more recently.
One of my grandmothers had a 16" Galaxy oscillator with blue blades and it had the older style base with piano keys, and a big clear hub on the grille. It stayed in the attic most of the time, but they would fetch it down when I came. When my grandma moved it stayed in the laundry room on the shelf usually. I wished I had got it when she had her estate sale but I was just getting into collecting again. That fan was mint and she even still had the instructions. I believe at one time she had a metal blade box fan but it was long gone before I can remember.
My other grandparents had a 16" plastic imported fan made in Taiwan or Japan. I forget the brand name but I think it was Merit something and the base read "Super Deluxe 16". They bought it at the Army-Navy store in the 70s. It was white with blue blades and a light blue metal cover on the bottom. I have seen some similar. The grille spacing was wide and could easily stick your finger in the blade which I used to spin as a toddler. Eventually they gave it to me because it stopped working but my parents made me throw it out. I wish I still had it, it probably just needed a new capacitor. They also had a metal bladed box fan at one time, but again, I don't remember it. There was also a 20" Galaxy with blue blades that I vaguely remember but no idea where it went. Later they had a Lasko gray box fan from about 1997 that my grandmother used in the kitchen usually. Later they gave it away. They also have a 16" Lasko oscillator with metal front grille that came from Walmart. That fan is usually in my grandpa's room but not sure if it still is. The room I used to stay in had a Windmere 9" mesh grille oscillator from Ace Hardware but I haven't seen it around lately.
