This is my first post in the Portable Fans category! I've been collecting fans since I was little (age 3 or 4). I have: A wide variety of Squeeze-Breezes A green, 2 speed Windmere desk fan (oscillating) A miniature Windmere box fan - white, 3 speed, non-oscillating 2 Three-inch Cool Breeze personal fans - one green, one blue - both single speed, non-oscillating A mini Lakewood desk fan - does not oscillate, silver, single speed And on my trip to New Buffalo Michigan: I got a Made-Rite Model 197. My first antique fan! The cage is gold, and the motor covering and base are made of cast iron! It must weigh 20 POUNDS! Very heavy. I got it at an antique store for $32. The seller offered a 10% discount, so I got it for $28.80. Pretty good deal! It does not oscillate, and it only has one speed. But, it moves A LOT of air! And, considering the fan is probably 50 years old, it is very quiet. It runs great! ;D It also appears to have been rewired at some point - the cord is fairly new. Nice fan!!!

Strangely, I wasn't running it, but it sounds like I was! I ran it yesterday in my hotel, and my dad was very surprised at how much air it moved. (He was sitting in a chair across the room and could feel the gust!) ;D It is now sitting in my living room, waiting to be cranked up!

Very cool. It looks like the cage of a Dominion I have on the base of a Handy Breeze I have with a very different set of blades. If you're ever in Minnesota in the Minneapolis area (which you may never be, just thought I'd put this out there if you like the antiques a lot), it's just a quick drive over to Stillwater. They have LOADS of antique fans in shops there, and many are priced INSANELY cheap. I'd say of all my antique fans, the most have come from Stillwater. I picked up a boatload of 'em last year when I was there. You can also see a lot of very cool ceiling fans there installed in the shops. Here are some of the CFs: ada19851985.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fans&action=display&thread=2727&page=1

Thanks Cole! ;D If I ever do go to Minneapolis, I will definitely stop in that antique store in Stillwater! And your right - I do like antique stores.

I like antique stores too. There's one here with a couple of early Casablanca Victorians in it, and they get some desk fans sometimes too. I'm watching those Casas.

I got some pics of my fans: Assorted Squeeze Breezes and other battery fans: [a href=" "] [/a] Windmere desk fan in green. It moves a decent amount of air: [a href=" "] [/a] Next, the mini Windmere Box fan. Again, decent air movement: [a href=" "] [/a] Cool Breeze personal fans. They move an average amount of air. Blue one (currently in storage): [a href=" "] [/a] Green one: [a href=" "] [/a] And, finally, the Lakewood personal fan. This fan moves A TON OF AIR for such a small fan ;D . It is awesome: [a href=" "] [/a] Enjoy the pictures! Let me know if you want a video of any fan(s).

I've had four I think, mist fans: first one was a SqueezeBreeze in a yellow/green color theme that stopped working..then came a blue knockoff of it that quit working, then another blue one that replaced it that I gave away..then an O2 clear-blue fan from WalMart that I hardly ever use..
