This is anther 14" Windsor box fan. this one is most likely from the 1960's. i got it from a buddy in Tennesee. along with some other stuff. since i got rid of my other 14" Windsor. i thought id keep this one. it needs allot of work. but nothing some sand paper and some paint cant handle.

A great candidate for restoration.. Does it run well?

It runs pretty well. i think i need to tear the motor apart and clean out the bearings. its kinda sluggish on the lower speeds. and takes a fe minutes to get up to speed.

As long as you are going to take the motor out take the rest of the electrics out and then you can clean the rest with electrolysis! that will take the rust off and not the metal and it gets those places where it is hard to get at. All you need is a old dumb battery charger some steel rods and a container to submerge it in and water and arm n hammer washing soda . If you have screws that dont want to come out this will help to get them out .. One of those kids plastic wading pools would work for a box fan some use a carbon graphite rod but these are a bit pricey but dont have to be cleaned as often as steel.

I've never tried this process before.. but if I ever get something that I could try it on I probably will.. sounds interesting..
